POBNEWS24, Desk Report, Feb 8, 2022 : The university administration has decided not to keep the ‘D’ unit of the social science faculty of Dhaka University from the next 2021-22 academic year. Admission test will be taken from next year under these four units ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘F’ instead of five units of the university. Besides, the number of seats in the university will be reduced to 1,065.
The decision was taken at a special meeting of the general admission committee at Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building on Monday.
It will be finalized at the next Academic Council meeting. University Vice-Chancellor. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor (Administration) said. Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Professor Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, Deans of different faculties, chairmen of different departments and directors of different institutes were present.
Vice-Chancellor Akhtaruzzaman said, “We have already decided not to keep the D unit. It has been approved in the meeting. It will be finalized at the next meeting of the Academic Council. ‘
