POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jan 8, 2022: Turkish Home Minister Solaiman Salu is visiting Bangladesh. Solaiman Salu arrived at Cox’s Bazar International Airport directly from Istanbul, Turkey by a special flight at 8 am on Saturday.
Md. Enamur Rahman State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief welcomed the Turkish Interior Minister at the airport. Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Kamrul Hasan, Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mamunur Rashid, Superintendent of Police Hasanuzzaman and officials of Turkish Embassy Bangladesh were present.
Turkey’s interior minister is leading a 20-member delegation.
The delegation is inspecting various activities at the Rohingya camp, including a field hospital run by the Turkish government and various agencies.
After the visit, the Turkish Home Minister is scheduled to leave for Dhaka at noon.
During his stay in Dhaka, Solaiman Salu will meet important officials including the Home Minister and Foreign Minister of Bangladesh.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit Dhaka this year. Preparations for the visit may also be discussed during Solomon Salur’s visit.
Besides, security, trade, information technology and bilateral cooperation will be discussed.
