POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Apr 13, 2023 : Elon Musk, CEO of micro-blogging site Twitter, said he is against banning video sharing site TikTok. He recently made this comment in an interview given to the British media BBC at the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco.
Musk said he does not use the most downloaded app in the United States (TikTok). But he is against stopping it.
The US is considering banning TikTok, citing security concerns as it is owned by China. Some countries have already banned government officials from using it on mobile phones.
In this regard, Musk said, I am generally against banning anything. He said, however, that the ban would benefit Twitter. Because more people will spend more time on this platform.
In the interview, Musk rejected accusations of spreading hate on Twitter. Besides, he claimed that after he took charge, the automated removal of accounts has reduced misinformation on Twitter. In addition, Twitter is now in the middle of profit and cost, Musk said.
