POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 12, 2025 : Law enforcement agencies are on high alert at various intersections in Dhaka over the Awami League’s program. Tight police security was seen in front of the NCP office. Searches were also conducted at various places. Special patrols were conducted from Shahbagh police station to Ramna zone area.
At least 13 buses were set on fire and cocktail explosions were reported in several districts of the country, including the capital Dhaka, for three days including Wednesday. Due to which, the number of vehicles in Dhaka city was seen to be much lower than normal on Wednesday. The Shahbagh area, where the common people face unbearable traffic jams every day due to the movement and meetings, was empty of vehicles on Wednesday.
These incidents have affected the lives of the common people, including transport workers and students.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that 44 more leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its associate organizations were arrested by conducting raids in various places in the capital The Dhaka Metropolitan Police DB has arrested him.

In the emerging context, BGB has been deployed to ensure law and order and security in Dhaka and surrounding districts.
BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam said that BGB has been deployed to maintain overall law and order and ensure security in Dhaka Metropolitan City, Narayanganj and Gazipur districts.
A total of 14 platoons of BGB members, including 12 platoons in the capital and two more platoons outside Dhaka, have been deployed. BGB will remain deployed until further instructions are given.
DMP Media and Public Relations Department DC Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that 27 cocktail explosions occurred at 15 places from November 1 to November 11. No casualties were reported anywhere.
