The Meteorological Department has forecast rain again even though there has been no cold spell since Wednesday. After a few days of rain, the cold wave started in different parts of the country from last Sunday.
The meteorological department said on Monday that a mild cold wave was sweeping over Rangpur division including Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Naogaon district and Sitakunda upazila, which may subside from some places.
Meteorologist said. Abdul Hamid Mia told Kaler Kanth, “The area of cold wave will start decreasing from Tuesday (today). Although the cold wave has stopped since Wednesday, there is a possibility of rain again. ‘
Abdul Hamid Mia further said, ‘Clouds have been noticed in the sky since the beginning of winter season. When the clouds disappear again, the winter is increasing. The rains that have fallen this winter have not been seen before. Sudden rain again, sudden chill is also seen for the first time. This behavioral change in the weather has not been seen in previous years. ‘
According to the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm yesterday, the weather across the country may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Moderate to heavy fog is expected in the northwestern part of the country and river basins from midnight to morning and light to moderate fog elsewhere in the country. Night and day temperatures may change slightly across the country.
The country’s minimum temperature was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in Panchagarh yesterday. At that time, the minimum temperature in Dhaka was 12.3 degrees Celsius.
