POBNEWS24, Dhaka July 9, 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the people to build a non-discriminatory, happy, prosperous and peaceful Bangladesh by taking part in the welfare work from their respective positions keeping in mind the essence of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. He said, “I hope that this time as always, Eid will bring a message of happiness and joy in the lives of all, rich and poor alike.” ‘
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the Prime Minister conveyed her best wishes and Eid Mubarak to all the Muslim communities of the world including Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina said that the unique example set by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) of gaining his satisfaction by sacrificing his favorite object for the sake of Allah Almighty will forever be imitated and followed by the world.
He said that through the celebration of this festival every year, the affluent Muslims establish the bond of sympathy and equality among the people by distributing the meat of the sacrificed animals among the relatives and the poor. Eid-ul-Azha teaches peace, compassion, sacrifice and a sense of brotherhood.
The Prime Minister said, ‘Coronavirus has re-emerged. God tests people’s patience in adversity. At this time everyone should help each other with infinite patience, feeling tolerant and sympathetic. At the same time, I request everyone to follow the rules of hygiene in this epidemic and sacrifice animals at the designated place. ‘
He said, “Let us enjoy Eid with our families at home and pray to Allah Ta’ala that everyone will get rid of this infection quickly.” ‘
On the day of Eid-ul-Azha, the Prime Minister wished progress, prosperity and lasting peace to the beloved motherland of Bangladesh and the Muslim Ummah.
