Before the arrest, Rahul Gandhi said, India is a police state, Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is the king.
It is known that Congress president Sonia Gandhi appeared in the ED office on Tuesday on charges of embezzlement of Rs. He was accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He reached the ED office in New Delhi around 11 pm.
Before this, he appeared at the ED office on July 21. ED has summoned him for the second round of questioning today. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has imposed Section 144 at Rajghat.
Workers-supporters staged a protest in front of the Congress office. All India Mahila Congress workers staged a protest in front of the Congress headquarters from this morning, waving placards and flying black balloons protesting the ED’s interrogation.
On the other hand, Congress MPs took out a protest march from the Gandhi statue in Parliament Square towards Vijay Chowk. Rahul Gandhi also participated in this protest march.
Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh tweeted that Congress MPs were arrested when they were marching from Vijay Chowk towards President Bhavan. Now they are in the police van. Only the Prime Minister and Home Minister know where they are being taken.
Earlier, ED had summoned Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi simultaneously. But Sonia could not attend due to corona virus. He also had to be admitted to the hospital. After being discharged from the hospital, he asked for three weeks to attend the ED. Accordingly ED gives him time.
