POBNEWS24, Dhaka Jan 8, 2023 : The adjourned meeting of the 21st session of the 11th National Parliament will be held at 4:30 pm on Sunday. At the beginning of the session, the Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Noor A Alam Chowdhury will raise the motion of thanks on the President’s speech in the parliament. After that, the government and opposition parliamentarians including the cabinet members will discuss the motion of thanks.
The current session of Parliament started last Thursday. On the first day of the session, the president addressed the parliament as per the custom. Abdul Hamid. Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury then adjourned the session.
Before this, the duration and agenda of the session was finalized in the meeting of the Working Advisory Committee of the Parliament held in the presence of Parliament Leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Opposition Leader Roshan Ershad and others. In that meeting, it was decided to continue the session till February 9.
The concerned officials of the Parliament Secretariat said that today’s agenda includes discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s speech, question and answer, discussion on public important notices and legislative activities. In the session, Lands Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury will introduce the ‘Hats and Markets (Establishment and Management) Bill-2023’ and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek ‘Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (Amendment) Bill-2023’.
