POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 14,2024 : A cargo ship from Karachi, Pakistan has arrived at Chittagong port in Bangladesh. This is the first time that a direct cargo vessel from Karachi came to Chittagong.
The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka gave this information on Wednesday (November 14).
According to the High Commission, a cargo ship from Karachi has arrived at Chittagong port, marking the first direct sea link between the two countries. The journey highlights the growing demand for direct trade between the two countries.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Dhaka Syed Ahmed Maruf termed the direct shipping route as a major step in increasing bilateral trade and business relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh as well as a more integrated and trade network in the entire region.
The High Commissioner said the initiative would not only accelerate existing trade flows but also promote new opportunities for business on both sides, from small traders to large exporters.
