POBNEWS24, Dhaka Dec 29, 2025 : Due to the India-Bangladesh tension, Bangladeshi patients are turning to China and this is why the number of visa applications is increasing every day. Taking this opportunity, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has been rejecting those applications due to incorrect and defective applications by Bangladeshi visa agents, causing suffering to Bangladeshi patients going to China.
The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka gave this information on Monday in an important notice regarding medical visa applications. They said that due to the negligence of travel agencies, a ‘travel agency guarantee letter’ has been made mandatory. The Chinese Embassy will not accept online applications without this guarantee letter.
It said that recently, due to the negligence or mistake of some travel agencies, certain parts of the online application form were not filled correctly, as well as due to the submission of fake applications, some medical visa applications have been returned. This has caused various types of losses, including financial.
The online application form has been updated to protect the legitimate rights and interests of applicants and to quickly identify and punish irregularities. From now on, a ‘travel agency guarantee letter’ has been made mandatory. Online applications without the required guarantee letter will not be accepted and will be returned.
It further states that applicants are requested to monitor the activities of the travel agency responsible for their application and ensure that all prescribed documents are submitted correctly as per the relevant instructions, so that the visa process is not delayed.
Applicants are advised to contact the concerned travel agency immediately if they do not receive the visa within the stipulated time. At the same time, applicants are warned not to be influenced by misleading or false statements by travel agencies or anyone else, such as making the visa process appear exaggeratedly complicated or unreasonably increasing the visa fee.
If a travel agency omits necessary information, provides incorrect information, submits fake invitations, or does not complete the online application process on time, thereby delaying the issuance of visas, thereby violating the rights and interests of applicants, the Embassy reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend the acceptance of application materials submitted through the relevant travel agency.
