POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 5, 2022 : The divisional mass meeting of BNP has started today at noon in Barisal. Thousands of leaders and workers of the party have gathered in this rally at Bangabandhu Udyan in the city. Party leaders and workers from many districts are still coming to this program.
BNP Central Standing Committee Member Begum Selima Rahman, Central Vice Chairman Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohail, Women’s Dal President Afroza Abbas, Ishraq Hossain, Sultan Salah Uddin and district leaders have already attended the forum.
The rally started around 12 noon under the chairmanship of Barisal Nagar BNP convener Moniruzzaman Khan. Youth party central president Sultan Salah Uddin and Afroza Abbas have already spoken.
In the rally, Afroza Abbas said, ‘A mayor of Dhaka boasted that his cousin can wipe out the mass gathering in Barisal if he wants.’ Referring to that matter, Afroza Abbas said in the regional language of Barisal to the present leaders and workers, ‘Is that what it is?’ When the crowd raised their hands and answered ‘No’, he said, ‘That day is no more, it will not happen again.’
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend the rally as the chief guest. Apart from this, members of the party’s standing committee, Mirza Abbas, Moin Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and other central leaders will speak.
