POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Dec 4,2021: Today is December 1. The first day of the month of the victory of absolute glory and arrogance. The long struggle of the Bengalis for independence was completed in December 1971. In the middle of this month, the invading Pakistani army was defeated in the 9-month bloody war of liberation. A nation-state called Bangladesh appeared in the heart of the world. The nation is going to celebrate this Victory Day with a special atmosphere of celebration and joy of the golden jubilee of independence.

The people of this country jumped into the people’s war by responding to the call of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independence and father of the nation. Through 9 months of heroic struggle, national liberation came in exchange for the lives of 3 million people and the respect of two lakh mothers and sisters. The Pakistani invaders surrendered on 16 December. This December, the Pakistanis, with the help of their ally Razakar Al-Badr Al-Shams, carried out a brutal massacre of the nation’s best child intellectuals. For this reason, the Bengalis celebrate the month of victory with joy and sorrow at the same time.

Every year, Bangladesh celebrates the joy of victory by organizing various events with great enthusiasm. Countless red-green flags fly across the country. Official festivities were hampered last year by high levels of coronavirus infection. However, this time the situation is much different. It is hoped that this year’s victory celebrations will be in full swing as Corona’s violence has abated. Preparations are being made in the same way.

Bangladesh has been celebrating Mujib Year since March 16 last year on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the programs could not be carried out properly. As a result, Mujib’s term was extended till December 16 this year. That is why the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu are being celebrated together this time.

On the occasion of Victory Day on 16th December, there will be a victory procession all over the country including the capital Dhaka. Colorful billboards, banners, festoons will be put up all over the country including Dhaka. There will be lighting all over Dhaka. Meetings, seminars and conferences will be organized. The allies of the ruling party Awami League will carry out their own program in line with the program of the main party. Other political. Social and cultural groups and organizations will also have their own events.

Honor of heroic freedom fighters: The Ministry of Liberation War has informed that this time on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence, honoring of heroic freedom fighters of different regions has been started at regional and sub-regional level. In this program, 21 general assemblies are being held all over the country. It started with the sub-regional general assembly on November 26 in Dinajpur. Programs have been taken to hold seven regional and 14 sub-regional rallies. Regional rallies will be held on December 2 in Panchagarh, December 6 in Jessore, December 6 in Gopalganj, December 6 in Comilla, December 11 in Jamalpur, December 12 in Cox’s Bazar and December 15 in Sylhet.

Arrangement of various parties and organizations: Swechchhasebak League, an affiliate of Awami League, paid homage to the martyrs at 12:01 pm yesterday.

‘Red-Green Festival’: The FBCCI will hold a 16-day ‘Red-Green Festival’ from December 1 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory. The festival organized by FBCCI will start from December 1 at Hatirjheel Amphitheater in the capital. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the virtual event at 7.30 pm. Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F. Rahman will be present as a special guest at the inaugural function. FBCCI President will give a welcome speech as well as the presidency. Jasim Uddin. DNCC mayor will speak on the occasion. Atiqul Islam.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Jasad will observe Muktijoddha Day on December 1 today as in previous years. On this occasion, the team will pay homage at Mirpur Bir Muktijoddha Cemetery at 9 am by laying a wreath. After that, a brief discussion will be held at the graveyard premises on the initiative of Jasad Dhaka Metropolitan West Committee. Jasad will pay homage to the heroes of the liberation war by laying a wreath at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan Shikha Chirantan at 11 am.

Literary and cultural organization ‘Padakshep Bangladesh’ will organize a discussion and cultural program on the open stage of Shilpakala Academy from 8 am on the first morning of Vijay month. Besides, all the district branches of the organization will organize a program titled ‘First noon of the month of victory’.
