POBNEWS24,Dhaka Apr 22, 2023 : The holy Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on Friday with religious solemnity in all European countries including the United Kingdom. Devoted Muslims started the Eid celebration with two rakat prayers. The day is celebrated in a festive atmosphere by eating various types of sweet food, feasting with family, relatives and friends.
London’s largest congregation is held at the London Central Mosque Trust and the Islamic Cultural Center (Regent’s Park Mosque). There are 6 congregations held every hour from 7 am to 12 noon.
4 congregations were held from 7 am to 11:30 pm at the East London Mosque in Tower Hamlets, which is dominated by Bangladeshis. 4 congregations were held at Bricklane Mosque from 8 am to 11:30 pm. Apart from this, Eid congregation has been held in all cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh.
The presence of women, men and children in every congregation was noticeable. Due to the weather, open ground congregation including Mayland Park was announced as suspended.
The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held at 9 am local time at the Mosque of Granada in Madrid, the capital of Spain. Eid congregations are also held in mosques in other cities of the country.
Two congregations were held at 7:30 am and 8:30 am local time in the ‘Grand Mosque de Paris’ in Paris, the capital of France. Three congregations were held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. local time at the Grand Mosque of Rome, the capital of Italy. Eid-ul-Fitr prayers have also been offered in mosques in other cities of the country. Besides, Eid-ul-Fitr has been celebrated in all European countries including Germany, Greece, Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Austria.
