The minister said the proposed bridge project is now progressing through its planning phase, with multiple route options being evaluated. Among the proposals under consideration is a route at the Daulatdia–Paturia point, which is seen as a key transport corridor.
“We are going ahead with the second Padma Bridge project. At this stage, planning work is ongoing,” he said, adding that feasibility studies have already been completed.
“There are three proposals under review. The first one is the route you mentioned. The feasibility study has been completed, and we are now working on financing discussions and other preparations,” the minister said.
