POBNEWS24, Dhaka July 27,2025 : In a conversation with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Mohammad Yunus, the Indian medical team said that they have come to Dhaka in response to the offer of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to provide all possible assistance to Bangladesh for the speedy recovery of the victims of the Milestone accident. “India is ready to provide any further assistance that Bangladesh may require in terms of medical equipment or rehabilitation of the injured in this incident. If any patient requires further treatment in India, we can provide it quickly,” said the head doctor of the Indian medical team. The Indian doctors expressed satisfaction with the arrangements at the Burn Institute and the approach adopted by the NIBPS team.
The Indian medical team in Dhaka includes two burn specialist doctors and two nursing assistants from RML Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital, two of the best institutions in India that specialize in burn rehabilitation and plastic surgery. The doctors arrived on Wednesday, July 23 and completed four rounds of consultations at the National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery. They will return to India tomorrow after the final stage of reviewing the progress of the critically ill patients.
It is worth noting that recently, a jet aircraft crashed into Milestone School in Uttara, the capital Dhaka, killing 33 students, including two teacher.
