Iran blames Israel for drone attack on Saudi Aramco, says covert operation

POBNEWS24, Desk report Dhaka Mar 3, 2026 : Iran has blamed Israel for the drone attack on Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco. Tehran has called it a ‘false flag’ or covert operation.
Citing a military source, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency wrote, “The attack on Aramco was a covert operation by Israel. Israel’s aim is to divert the attention of regional countries from the crimes they are committing by attacking civilian installations in Iran.”
The source told Tasnim News, “Iran has clearly declared that it will target all US and Israeli interests and installations in the Gulf region and has attacked many of them so far. However, Aramco installations were not among the targets of the Iranian attack.”
The source claimed, “According to information received from intelligence sources, the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates could also be one of the targets of Israel’s next false flag operation.”
On Monday, a drone attack was carried out on an Aramco oil facility in eastern Saudi Arabia.
The Aramco refinery in Ras Tanura was temporarily closed after the drone attack as a precautionary measure.
