POBNEWS24, Dhaka Oct 15, 2025 : The National Consensus Commission has begun an emergency meeting with political parties and alliances to resolve differences over the implementation of July Charter.
Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus is attending the meeting, which started at 6:00pm at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
Earlier in the afternoon, a preparatory meeting of the National Consensus Commission was held at the State Guesthouse Jamuna, chaired by the chief adviser.
The session reviewed the latest developments and strategies ahead of the scheduled signing of the July Charter.
Present at the afternoon meeting on behalf of the Commission were Vice Chairman Prof Ali Riaz, and members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, Iftekharuzzaman, Badiul Alam Majumdar, Md Aiyub Miah, along with Monir Haider, special assistant to the chief adviser.
The emergency talks are expected to focus on finalising the implementation mechanism of the national charter, as differences among major parties have delayed its signing.
