POBNEWS24, Sep 14, 2021 :Umrah activities are being carried out in accordance with the hygiene rules during the coronation period. Already, hundreds of elderly, disabled and special needs worshipers have performed Umrah. Maher Al Suwaihari and Saud Al Jahrani, heads of the Disability Services Department of the Masjid Haram Board of Directors, welcomed the pilgrims.
According to the General Presidency, 150 people with disabilities, the elderly and the hearing impaired performed Umrah. After entering the Masjid Haram, he assisted them in performing Umrah with the help of volunteers. At this time all kinds of precautionary measures are taken in compliance with the hygiene rules.
Meanwhile, in order to prevent corona infection, all the activities have been started in the Holy Mosque in accordance with the hygiene rules. Other programs have started including Qur’an Hifz sessions, religious discussion programs. It is possible to take part in these programs by following all kinds of precautionary hygiene rules while maintaining social distance.
The Umrah activities of foreign devotees started from last August. All activities are held in the Haram Mosque in Makkah and in the Nawabi Mosque in Medina following the health guidelines.
