POBNEWS24, Dhaka Jan 3, 2023 : Police week 2023 starts from today. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Police Week with annual police parade at Rajarbagh Police Lines ground at 10 am on the first day of Police Week. He inspected and saluted the orderly and colorful parade of various police contingents and flag bearers.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun saluted the Prime Minister at the parade’s greeting stage.
Later Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the parade in an open jeep.
Police Week will end on January 8. Officials of the police headquarters said that the Prime Minister will address the police officers on the second day of the program on January 4. The event will be held at the International Conference Center of the Prime Minister’s Office. President Abdul Hamid will address the evening. A function has been organized at Bangabhaban on this occasion.
On the third day, apart from other events, police officers will participate in a conference with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. Police officials will discuss law and order and crime on January 6. The IGP will participate in a conference with senior police officers the next day. On the last day of the police week, the police officers will participate in a separate meeting with the minister, cabinet secretary, chief justice.
