POBNEWS24, Dhaka Mar 19, 2026 : Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a message of Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka informed this on Thursday.
The Indian High Commission said that in the message sent to Tarique Rahman, the Indian Prime Minister wrote, Your Excellency, Eid Mubarak! On behalf of the government and people of India, I extend my warm greetings to you and the brotherly people of Bangladesh on this joyous festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Narendra Modi said, “For the past one month, Muslims around the world, including India, have observed the holy month of Ramadan and spent a virtuous time in fasting and prayers.”
He further said, “The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of the eternal values of compassion, brotherhood and unity. We wish and pray for peace, harmony, good health and happiness for people around the world. May the bonds of friendship and goodwill between our countries be further strengthened. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.” He expressed his hope that the bonds of friendship and goodwill between the two countries will be further strengthened.
