Qatar Labor Minister in Dhaka on Two-Day Visit

POBNEWS24, Dhaka, May 17, 2026 : Qatari Labor Minister Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri has arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit.
He arrived at Dhaka Airport on Sunday evening. The Foreign Ministry confirmed this information.
The ministry has learned that Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir welcomed the Qatari Labor Minister at the airport. Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury was present at the time.
During the visit, Al Marri will meet the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and other high-ranking leaders and officials.
In addition, a joint committee meeting will also be held, where important issues related to labor, manpower and bilateral cooperation and the interests of the Bangladeshi community in Qatar are expected to be discussed.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Doha has noted the importance of the visit of the Qatari Minister of Labor to Bangladesh, saying, “We hope that this visit will be very successful and fruitful and will further strengthen the friendship and partnership between Qatar and Bangladesh in the days to come.”
