Abdul Momen said that the women of Bangladesh are bringing fame for Bangladesh not only in the country but also in the international arena by showing their qualifications. Women are making important contribution in all aspects of development of the country. As well as men, our women are proving their worth by participating in many adventures – which is very promising.
Zainab Binte Hossain Shantu, Bangladesh’s first woman to conquer the ‘Lubuche’ mountain, met Foreign Minister at the Foreign Office on Saturday evening and congratulated him. Dr. Momen greeted him with flowers. Zainab Lubuche presented the flag of Bangladesh flying over the mountain to the Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Minister said that this glorious example of writing the name of the first woman of Bangladesh in the list of mountaineers in Lebuche would inspire all the women of Bangladesh to achieve success. He wished Zainab more success in the future and assured her of his support in any endeavor to enhance the reputation and dignity of Bangladesh. Nasir Milky (Sourav), the sponsor of the Lobuche mountain expedition in Zainab, was present at the time.
On November 1, mountaineer Zainab Binte Hossain Shantu brought glory to Bangladesh by conquering the 8,119-meter mountain ‘Lubuche’ in Nepal.
