POBNEWS24, Dhaka Oct 30, 2023 : Visiting the Holy Mosque of Saudi Arabia in Madinah Imam Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman Al-Buajan called Bangladesh as his second country. He said that despite the geographical distance between the two countries, the people of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia are very close due to religious ties.
On Sunday (October 29) evening at Ganabhaban, Sheikh Dr. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdur Rahman Al-Buajan said these things.
After the meeting, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told reporters in a briefing that the Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina said Bangladesh is his second country. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman Al-Buajan said, he wishes Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the people of Bangladesh well-being and future prosperity.
The press secretary said that he wished the Prime Minister long life and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him the grace to serve the holy Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman Al-Buajan told the Prime Minister that most of the servants working in the Prophet’s Mosque are Bangladeshi citizens.
Regarding the model mosques built all over the country, the imam of the Holy Mosque of the Prophet said that those who build mosques are blessed by Almighty Allah.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the Imam at the Prophet’s Mosque in Dhaka and said that his presence at the 2023 National Imam Conference will encourage the people of Bangladesh to the true meaning of Islam. He said there were several attempts to kill him and he survived by the grace of Almighty Allah.
Referring to performing Hajj, the Prime Minister said that he first performed Hajj in 1984 and later he also performed Hajj on behalf of his father Bangabandhu and mother Bangamata.
At this time, Sheikh Hasina said that she will attend the Women’s Conference of the OIC to be held in Jeddah and visit the Holy Rowza Mubarak of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

Before this, Global Center on Adoption (GCA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Patrick V Verkuijen paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at the same venue.
The press secretary said, Patrick V. Verkuijen highly praised the Prime Minister’s leadership on climate issues in various international forums. During this time, he showed a model of the Netherlands headquarters office that looked like a floating water vehicle and the Prime Minister expressed his interest in building a convention center in Bangladesh.
GCA Chief Executive Officer said that about 320 million US dollars have been spent so far on the issue of climate change.
In response, Sheikh Hasina said her government is working to create green belts in coastal areas through tree plantation programs, while her party Awami League has been planting saplings for afforestation since 1985.
