POBNEWS24, Dhaka Feb 23, 2026 : The ‘New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact’ adopted at the Artificial Intelligence Summit held in India in 2026 has already been endorsed by 89 countries and international organizations. Bangladesh has become the 89th signatory country to endorse the AI Declaration. The declaration reflects a broad global consensus on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for economic growth and social welfare.
The supporting countries include Australia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Israel, United Kingdom, China, Japan, United States, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Bangladesh.
The summit, which concluded in the Indian capital New Delhi on Friday, saw wide participation from different parts of the world.
Following the principle of ‘for the benefit of all, for the happiness of all’, the declaration emphasizes that the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) must be shared equitably among humanity.
The India AI Summit served as a collaborative platform for industry leaders, innovators and startups to engage in dialogue and showcase AI-powered solutions.
The event, which concluded, was attended by over 500 AI leaders, over 100 founders and CEOs, 150 academicians and researchers and around 400 CTOs. The summit also received a huge response from the general public and witnessed a attendance of over five lakh visitors.
Sonakshi Barshni, Member, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, said that the India AI Summit brought together key stakeholders and innovators from the AI sector. She added that the summit provided an opportunity to showcase AI-powered initiatives that are supporting the Panchayati Raj institutions of the country.
Professor Rajiv Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, said that the India AI Summit is the first of its kind and it is of immense benefit to the youth of the country. He said that this summit provided a platform for discussion on how AI can be used to develop the agriculture sector and help Indian farmers.
