Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhil Jaiswal expressed this concern at a media briefing on Friday. He said that the Government of India hopes that the Bangladesh authorities should give utmost importance to ensuring the safety of minorities.
Randhir said India’s concerns about the security of minorities have been reported to Bangladesh authorities. He said, we have called several times, even from the highest level, that Hindus should be safe in Bangladesh. I hope their government will ensure that security.
